Meet Our Staff

Elba – Assistant Manager

Elba joined the staff at COG as our Assistant Manager, and brings with her a wealth of skill and experience within the medical field. Born in Venezuela, Elba graduated from dental school and practiced for six months before moving to St. Thomas. She continued practicing here and also worked with the Department of Health to help the children of St. Thomas enjoy healthy, beautiful smiles.

Working with Dr. Bacot, Elba says that "everyday is a challenge, where I find myself learning more and more. I really want to grow with the practice in years to come."

Krystal – Administrator

Born and raised on the island of St. Thomas, Krystal is the Administrative Manager at COG. After graduating high school, Krystal attended the University of the Virgin Islands for a few semesters, but withdrew after feeling unsure about her goals for the future. She worked a series of jobs in the area in order to find out what she wanted to do in life.

Krystal met Dr. Bacot while working at Roy L. Schneider Hospital, and began working part time at the office. She then left the hospital and joined Dr. Bacot full time, first as a receptionist and then promoted less than a year later to Administrative Manager, where she supervises the front desk employees.

Since joining the staff, Krystal has returned to school and is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Colorado Technical University online. She aspires to "continue her career in management and grow within COG."

Donnamarie – Administrative Assistant

Donnamarie was born in Trinidad and came to St. Thomas as a young child, before moving to Tallahassee, Florida to pursue a career in psychology. After a few years, she returned to St. Thomas briefly, and then moved to Orlando to work at the Orlando Regional Medical Hospital. There, Donnamarie held several administrative positions, gaining valuable skills in customer service, payroll experience and computer technology. She also obtained a certificate in medical coding.

Donnamarie joined our team in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant after moving back to St. Thomas when her father became ill. She handles many different responsibilities within the office, and says she "aspires to grown within the company in all areas, as it continues to expand and serve the people of the Virgin Islands."

Tiffany B. – Administrative Assistant

Born and raised on St. Thomas, Tiffany credits her kindhearted nature to her upbringing within a small, welcoming school community. She serves as the friendly face that greets patients at our practice and is dedicated to helping them feel as important as they truly are.

Tiffany began working at COG after nearly ten years at the Ritz Carlton. Her experience has helped ensure that each patient has a pleasant and personalized experience at our office. She strives to help each patient "feel as though they have most definitely made the BEST choice in choosing this practice for their orthopaedic care."

Tiffany W. – Nurse Tech

Tiffany is one of our medical assistants at COG, offering Dr. Bacot and his patients several years of experience in the medical field, including in the US Army as a Delta/Surgical Technologist. After her military career ended, Tiffany worked as a surgical technologist across the country for many different orthopedic and open heart surgical teams. She eventually moved to St. Thomas and worked at Roy L. Schneider Hospital.

Tiffany joined COG in 2009, and enjoys working directly with patients, which she finds to be quite a rewarding experience. "Here at COG, we all work together to provide professional and compassionate care for all of our patients," says Tiffany.
